Best Chinese in London 2025 - A Big Win for Cantonese Food in London

We're happy to announce that Three Uncles has won London’s Best Chinese at Deliveroo’s annual restaurant awards in 2025.

The award was decided by public vote — the result of thousands of amazing fans who supported us. To everyone who voted, thank you!

“We're over the moon to win. Being recognised by Deliveroo and our customers means the world — it shows how much London appreciates authentic Cantonese roast meats” says Chong Yew Lim (Uncle Lim).

From One Shop to Seven Kitchens

Three Uncles launched with the simple aim to make the best authentic Cantonese siu mei in London and to bring this ancient, skilled craft out of Chinatown so it’s accessible everywhere, just like you’d find in the Far East.

After a misfire — the first shop closed before even starting in Holloway due to food hall licensing issues — the team could have easily given up. But they persisted and signed a lease on a site just off Bishopsgate in Liverpool Street - it was an instant hit.

Off the back of that success came Camden Market (Hawley Wharf), with a small roast meat kiosk in the food hall overlooking Regent’s Canal.

Then things really started to roll. Site three was Brixton Village, the first proper restaurant (tiny, with just 35 seats) in the lively Brixton Village Market. Site four came at St Paul’s, just a stone’s throw from the cathedral on Old Bailey, then Ealing, and finally Brent Cross Shopping Centre — the latest baby of the group.

Deliveroo has always played a part in operations. The team works hard to make sure the packaging and food travel well so it reaches you in the tastiest possible way.

What’s Next for Three Uncles

“Awards are amazing, but what matters most is staying true to the quality and recipes that built Three Uncles.” - Chong Yew Lim.
